EN The main objective of the intervention is the total recovery of the building in order to transpose the degree of comfort, energy efficiency and safety of a secular building into the contemporary demands, while ensuring the maintenance of its morphotypological, constructive and landscape characteristics, which, in addition to being in line with its current status as an “architectural asset to be maintained”, allow the ambition for a future classification equivalent to that of Quinta da Ermegeira, creating a coherent heritage nucleus that enhances the area in which it is integrated.

Given the size of the building and the intended use as a permanent home intended by the applicants, the main body will be revised in terms of its interior compartmentalization, in order to allow flexible and comfortable management of the space, so that multiple typological configurations can be alternated according to of family dynamics in the short, medium and long term, and this strategy will also explore the possibility of creating areas for Local Accommodation. This reflection is at the genesis of the scale and typology of the existing building, and in the proposed project this flexibility will be guaranteed through the creation of a new interior staircase, adding to the 3 existing ones, and by opening and closing several passages between spaces.

PT O principal objetivo da intervenção é a recuperação do edifício de modo a transpor para a contemporaneidade o grau de conforto, eficiência energética e segurança de um edifício secular, garantindo ao mesmo tempo a manutenção das suas características morfotipológicas, construtivas e de enquadramento paisagístico, que, para além de se coadunarem com o seu atual estatuto de “bem arquitetónico a manter”, permitam ambicionar a uma classificação futura equivalente à da Quinta da Ermegeira, criando um núcleo patrimonial coerente e valorizador da área em que se integra.

Dada a dimensão do edifício e da utilização enquanto habitação própria permanente pretendida pelos requerentes, o corpo principal será revisto ao nível da sua compartimentação interior, de modo a permitir uma gestão flexível e confortável do espaço, para que múltiplas configurações tipológicas possam ser alternadas em função da dinâmica familiar a curto, médio e longo prazo sendo que, esta estratégia permitirá também explorar a possibilidade de criação de áreas destinadas a Alojamento Local. Esta reflexão está na génese da escala e tipologia do edifício existente, sendo que no projeto proposto esta flexibilidade será garantida através da criação de uma nova escada interior, acrescendo às 3 existentes, e pela abertura e fecho de diversas passagens entre espaços.
